Be on the Lookout...
"Web of Deceit: The Practice and Detection of Lying in the Digital Age"
The Cornell Club of Southwestern Ohio will soon have the unique opportunity to hear Professor Jeffrey Hancock of Cornell's faculty speak on his expertise - how digital media such as e-mail, instant messaging and video-conferencing affect the way we talk to and understand one another. His research has been featured in the New York Times Magazine, on CNN and on NBC News. We will explore the realm of deception through his eyes and research.
This is an event you don't want to miss. Please include family and friends, for dinner and our extraordinary talk at The Ridge Club in Pleasant Ridge.

June 2008 - The Family Picnic
This annual event is a great favorite - mixing incoming freshmen with current Cornellians and alumni. High-spirited conversation surrounded by delicious food are the highlights of the day. The date and time are still to be determined. We'll share event details on our website and via e-mail.
August 2008 - The ATP Tennis Championship
"Night at the Net" is an evening shared by many local university alumni. Come cheer on your favorite player while enjoying drinks and dinner. This is a terrific way to stay in touch with the Club over the summer months. Check back here for more information as the championship approaches.

 Friday, November 2, 2007 - Wine Tasting Event
Back by popular demand, the Cornell, Harvard, Yale and Stanford Clubs are hosting the third annual All Ivy League wine tasting event!
The long-awaited wine tasting event will be held on Friday, November 2, 2007. Great people make a great event - so be a part of it!! There is only room for 70 so please reserve your spot early (last year we had 15 on the waiting list with 72 attending). The Miller Gallery in Hyde Park (Cincinnati) is the ideal setting to enjoy art, wine, and good friends on a cool fall evening.
To add to the festivities and in the spirit of good, clean competition and luck, register on-line ASAP, and get your check sent in (postmarked) by Monday, October 29th, 2007 to be automatically entered to win a bottle (of your choice) of the wines tasted that evening.

Saturday, February 23, 2008 - Wine and Chocolate Tasting
PARTY ... or WHAT? The Cornell Club invites YOU to join us. Valentines Day will be barely past and it is the dead of winter. The weather is bad and it is cold outside.
It is not too late and we would really like to see you, and the friends that you choose to bring, to add to the camaraderie. Wine and chocolate -- an interesting pair.
And at $20, the only thing you have to lose is the winter doldrums.
